ACT Deputy Chief of Staff for Capability Development visits JWC
U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Jeffrey G. Lofgren, Deputy Chief of Staff for Capability Development, Headquarters Allied Command Transformation (ACT), visited the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Friday 29 January.
The visit programme included an Office Call with German Army Major General Reinhard Wolski, Commander JWC, and a series of briefings on the current activities of the Centre with special focus on JWC’s crucial support on NATO’s Doctrine and Capability Development.
The official visit concluded with a guided tour of the JWC’s state-of-the-art training facility, including a briefing on Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX) support in JWC exercises and media simulation capabilities at the Centre’s live broadcast studio.
Under the leadership of Lieutenant General Jeffrey G. Lofgren, ACT’s Capability Development Directorate, consisting of 26 Branches, focuses on NATO Defence Planning, Capability Engineering and Innovation, Command and Control, Deployability and Sustainability capabilities as well as on Alliance interoperability in order to enhance NATO's operational capabilities to meet NATO's current and future requirements.
