TRJR18 MELMIL Scripting Workshop

The Main Events List/Main Incidents List (MEL/MIL) Scripting Workshop for exercise TRIDENT JAGUAR 2018 (TRJR18) was conducted from 12 to 21 March at the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger.

Exercise TRJR18 will train and evaluate Multinational Joint Headquarters Ulm (MNJHQ ULM) and NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR) this spring. The exercise will train and certify both NRDC-GR and MNJHQ ULM respectively and independently as NATO Joint Task Force (JTF) headquarters for Non-Article 5, Land-heavy Small Joint Crisis Response Operations (SJOs) under direct command of SACEUR.

Polish National Security Bureau visits JWC

A delegation from the Polish National Security Bureau, headed by Mr Pawel Soloch, visited the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Wednesday 21 March 2018. Mr Soloch, Chief of the Polish National Security Bureau was accompanied by amongst others the Director of Polish National Security Bureau’s Armed Forces Department, Brigadier General Jaroslaw Kraszewski.

The delegation was welcomed by Polish Army Major General Andrzej Reudowicz, JWC Commander.

ThreeSwordsmarchcover websmall1Since the moment the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) was described as “the Jewel in the Crown of Allied Command Transformation”1, delivery of quality training, doctrinal and concept integration, experimentation in exercises as well as support to NATO’s Lessons Learned process were inextricably intertwined. Back then, the Centre was manned at about 55 per cent of its authorized Peacetime Establishment. Lacking its own physical facilities in Jåttå, it headed to Ulsnes, a former hub for naval activity, to host its inte rim training facility, which was possible thanks to the support received from Host Nation Norway.

The survey, which has now been used for four years serves as a “temperature check” from the staff on how the organization is functioning.
