A delegation led by Czech Army Colonel (GS) Vratislav Osvald, the Director of Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence CoE), visited NATO's Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Wednesday, 6 December.
The visit provided an important opportunity for both parties to exchange views and discuss the possibilities for bolstering future collaboration on exercises, training events and other initiatives. Following an office call with Polish Army Major General Andrzej Reudowicz, Commander JWC, and a series of briefings at the Leiv Eiriksson room, the delegation toured JWC’s state-of-the-art training facility, which is NATO’s leading site to use virtualization and information technology during Operational level exercises. The programme in Stavanger also included a CAX simulation briefing and a visit to the Centre’s TV studio.
Colonel Osvald assumed command of the JCBRN Defence CoE in Vyškov, Czech Republic, in February 2017.
