The Honourable Dr Axel Berg, the German Ambassador to Norway, accompanied by the German Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Wiland Oerter, visited the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Monday, 15 February.
The delegation was greeted by German Army Major General Reinhard Wolski, Commander JWC.
Following an office call with Major General Wolski, the delegation was escorted to the Leiv Eiriksson room where they received an overview JWC mission brief. The delegation was then briefed on JWC's key role within NATO's comprehensive exercise and training programme, with special focus on the TRIDENT Series of Exercises. During his visit, Ambassador Berg also had the opportunity to meet with the German Contingent assigned to the Centre.
The official visit concluded with a guided tour of the state-of-the-art training facility, including a briefing on Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX) support in JWC-led exercises and media simulation capabilities at the Centre’s live broadcast studio.
